Since they lived in our family’s neighbourhood, Harsevak got to know about this. We convinced them to donate it to this school cum hostel which is run by a lady for underprivileged kids. The hostel  provides them a safe place to live and study.

The TV was then repaired by a seasoned electronic engineer at no cost and is now up and running for the children to access online classes taken by volunteer teachers free of cost.

A device donated for free has helped about 75-80 children for access to online education. Gratitude to the senior couple for their donation and all volunteers who made this possible!

Harsevak committed to renovating and refurbishing the children’s play room in the Pediatric wing of the neighbourhood community hospital. We convinced the engineers and contractors to come and repaint the room and help with air conditioning repair jobs for the children’s play room. We then went about cleaning up the existing toys, sorting out the old furniture and replacing the broken ones with new toys.
We asked our friends and family to come and help out as well as contribute some books, funds for new toys and board games. We even met a book seller who willingly sold his goods at no profit cost and threw in some free gifts from his side for the children.

On the day of the launch of the newly renovated and expanded library and play area for the patients of the Pediatric ward, the doctors and  nursing staff gathered to flag off the first day of the newly reopened area.

Stationary, Candy, fruits and Colouring books were distributed to all the admitted  patients in the ward and everyone enjoyed the time together in gratitude…
It was an amazing experience, truly humbling and inspiring!
We hope we can continue to motivate people to contribute together for an amazing journey ahead..

Most of the boys belong to middle and high school and live in the boarding home run by community led  initiative and corporate social responsibility funds. Parents who cannot afford to fund the education of these students  who are keen to go to college or vocational training centres leave them here and the organisation takes care of their boarding lodging and education.

It was a delight to reach out to them with these books which they really appreciated. Their enthusiasm and zeal for education made our day brighter !

Support has been extended to the lady who has adopted the school and day care with clothes for their siblings and time with the kids for distributing some joy!!

Volunteers bonded with the children over arts and crafts. Singing songs and playful teaching methods were used for learning . The morning ended on a joyous note by dancing hearts out! It was a pleasure to know more about their interests and achievements and we hope to see them again very soon!

Remote village in Uttarakhand near the Jim Corbett wildlife sanctuary

•Veeru is a tea seller by the roadside who earns his livelihood by selling snacks and tea to tourists and locals passing through the forest area

•His little cottage is supplied by a solar panel battery which powers an electric fence surrounding his home and the power supply for his daily needs

•The family work as a team and fetch water from the river Kosi down the cottage on the river bank

•He is also an avid wildlife enthusiast and makes frequent videos of wildlife and posts them on youtube

•Harsevak helped him with financial aid for building a roof for his cottage which was destroyed in the  previous monsoon season

Last information from Veeru: neighboring Taj Corbett staff 

(courtesy whom Harsevak had met Veeru) have further contributed their savings to give more aid to Chota Bheem for rebuilding his café and cottage because of damage to his home in a subsequent storm
